This Northern most continent is home to a unique climate, consisting of an inactive volcano, vast mountains ranges, dense forests, and open plains. Large bodies of water and rivers make up parts of this continent. The recent return of the Dragons has made the activity of this land flourish. Creatures stir all across the world and magic has seemingly returned. With the return of the floating islands mythical creatures are waking from their centuries long slumber. The call for adventurers is everywhere as the roads now lurk with monsters and danger. The peace known for most of modern history has been shattered. Certain souls looking to claim power, wealth, and worship are wreaking havoc on the world. They are even forming alliances with the goal to ravage the inhabitants of Khalla.

Others look to protect the world from these criminals, forming bonds with the dragons and good creatures, to rescue the world from darkness. The constant conquest for personal gain has also summoned the Free Riders of Khalla, a band of adventurers seeking anything from glory to gold, or a mark in the history books. A constant struggle for control of the lands is underway, and every rider will be needed to shape the future of Khalla.

Kingdom of Lhuin

The Kingdom within the sea of Trees

Is the wealthiest of all kingdoms, The Kingdom of Lhuin's population is mostly Elves with the occasional humans, animen, and dwarves that live here. This kingdom is lavish in design and beauty, thanks to the  Elves. This kingdom, unlike the other kingdoms around, lies in a vast sea of trees. The elves dare not to destroy the trees about them, yet instead build their homes around them and often use trees as a structural incorporation. - Would be very curved and elegant architecture, trying to mimic and be as harmonious with nature as possible. The elves build among and atop the tree limbs, the houses circling the trunks for support.

The Kingdoms

Kingdom of Ival
The Kingdom in the Field of Gold
This kingdom is a heavily populated where all races seemed to come; humans and animens being the main races, yet outcasts of the other races also dwell here. No one seems to be turned away from this constantly growing kingdom. Yet with such a high population rate in this kingdom it is not the wealthiest and the inhabitants sometimes struggle to keep their ever growing kingdom afloat with food. But despite that this kingdom still remains quite popular. The streets are filled with stalls and sellers of all sorts. This kingdom lies in the fields with a few trees here and there and a large river that cuts near it.
-Houses in this Kingdom are typically quaint little structures made of clay, while the more wealthy denizens can afford to build with wood.

Kingdom of Melindev

The Kingdom in the Shadow Lands

This kingdoms lies on an island in a large lake surrounded by mountains to the south. It is mostly populated by the Drow, with the occasional Dwarf, orc, and very rarely animen. No humans or elves are allowed to dwell within this kingdom. Melindev deals mostly with the training of Drows into master thieves and assassins. A dark kingdom this is and it seems to be the first kingdom tainted with corruption of Evil. No good souled humanoid would live here.-The Drow dwell within the island, beneath the lake's surface in intricate stone dwellings nearly inseparable from the stone they are built from. The island appears eerily deserted, though the shadows can seem alive.

Faction Home Bases

Floating Island of Lamashtu

-Home base of Shadar

This island is named after the goddess of old, Lamashtu. The mother of monsters they say. The Shadar named their home base to honor the gift from their dark mistress. This floating island is constantly moving within a dark storm in the skies and is hard to find for any that lack knowledge of its existence. Lamashtu is where the dark ones hatch their dragons, and hold their captives, both humanoids and dragons. This place is dark and sinister, a crumbling castle lays there with its dungeons built into the side of the floating island. Those who dwell within this island seem far crueler than any could have imagined.

-Blood Navigator. Denizens of this tainted place are gifted with an ancient rite, designed to locate the ever moving Island of Lamashtu. By forming a depiction of the cardinal directions, and speaking the correct phrase, the users activate the ritual with their own blood. The blood pools in the center of the image and flows in the direction of the floating island.

Floating Island of Apsu

-Home Base of The Dargona

This island is also named after a god of old. The Dargona chose the ancient god Apsu. Apsu believed in peace with the dragons; that together all can be accomplished when one works for the better of mankind. This floating island is hidden within large clouds and is warm and beautiful to one's eye. This floating island is constantly moving within the thick clouds of Khalla, making any who are not knowledgeable of Apsu nearly impossible to locate it. This place is the main headquarters for the Good Side, where eggs are watched over. Hatchings happen and riders of old help train new riders of the era. Dragons are watched over and people of all sorts are welcome here if able to bond with a dragon.

This island is ravishing with bright grass and adorned with the beauty of nature. A true paradise they say, where all work for the greater good of the lands of Khalla. The city is sprawling atop the mostly flat surface of the island, houses can separated by grass clustered together, but everything appears to have been built of white stone. Many parts are still in a state of collapse, appearing much like Roman ruins. To the northern end of Apsu rises a large hill, covered by a sprawling palace complex and many courtyards. It is here that new riders stay, where they learn about and raise their dragons. It is a school, but also the home of the ranking riders, such as the Great Teacher and Teacher, along with Oath Bound Riders and General. Behind the complex lies descending terraces that run right to the edge of the island, and have now been called the Sky Gardens after Ronan's work with them. They are full of trees and plants, dotted with benches, and scattered with pools of varying sizes filed with fish. It is a very relaxing place to come to. The dragons dwell in various places; if small enough they live within houses or the palace complex, if larger shelters are built in courtyards or within the city. Also, there are many caves carved into the sides of the island, below the plateau of flat land, where dragons may make their dens.

-The inheritors of Apsu are each rewarded with a Silver Compass. A unique device tuned into the specific magical frequency of Apsu. Though ancient relics in their own right, each compass works as perfectly as the day it was first crafted. Compasses seem to only activate in the hands of someone true of heart, and remain inert in those that aren't.

Jagged Teeth Mountains

-Home base to The Riders Of Vangaurd

Home to the Vanguard Riders. These mountains are the largest and most vast in the lands of Khalla. Within these mountains lies a tangled mess of tunnels and only the free riders know how to navigate through successfully. Once in this veritable labyrinth one must make it past the winding and twisted tunnels. Deep inside, a vast utopia dwells, immersed within the middle. A large waterfall lies within this cavern, flowing into a large pool of water. Stalactites of glowing crystals keep this wondrous cave well lit at all times. The land within the Jagged Teeth is lush with vegetation and natural fauna. The housing in the cavern is primarily made up of furs and hammock like beds. These catacombs are able to house many dragons as well as more free riders. This is where hatching and training begins, for any who have bonded without the help of the other factions. Training takes place completely naturally and some times by mistake.

-A magic dwells within the labyrinth of tunnels and one only has merely to speak the word "Odhalit" and the stalactites will begin to radiate ever so softly. Though be warned, the glowing of the crystal stalactites will disappear as quickly as can be, so one must run and take heed, or forever be lost within the tunnels. This word can only be spoken once per day by each rider.

Kingdom of Viendet

The Kingdom of the Burning Hands

This kingdom lies near the base of a non active volcano. The Volcano makes the constant shadow of these lands, depriving the plants of sunlight. It seems like everything here is dead, hard land to live on; but even harder humanoids live here. This kingdom is based solely on forges, consisting of making weapons, armor, and anything else others may find useful. Being near the base of the mountains there are constant tunnels being dug to look for any material that would be of use. The main population here is Dwarves, with the occasional orcs, humans, and animen. Drows and Elves are both too proud to live the life of a miner.-Dwellings are are typically made of black stone, adding to the bleak landscape. However, these houses and caves are nearly fortress like and incredibly hardy.
